sofiasidera.gr respects your privacy: it uses no advertising or tracking cookies, which is why it does not ask you to accept cookies. Below we explain exactly what is stored on your device and why.
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device so it can “remember” something between pages or visits. The browser’s local storage (local / session storage) works in a similar way.
| NAME | PURPOSE | DURATION |
|---|---|---|
| Session cookie | Strictly necessary: protects the contact form and booking from abuse. It is only created when you send a message or make a booking. | Until you close the browser |
| ss-lang | Remembers whether you prefer Greek or English (local storage). | Until you delete it |
| ss-preloaded | Remembers that the website has already loaded, so the opening animation does not repeat on every page (local storage). | Until you close the tab |
| Form draft | Temporarily keeps what you have typed in the form, so it is not lost if you refresh the page (local storage, only on your device). | Deleted as soon as the message is sent |
We count anonymously how many people visit the website and which pages they read, without cookies and without storing your IP address. The anonymous visitor code changes every day, so no one can identify you or follow you from day to day.
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. If you pay by card, the payment takes place on Stripe’s page, which uses its own necessary cookies to secure the transaction, under its own privacy policy. To protect the contact form from spam we use Google reCAPTCHA, which may set its own cookies and process information about your device under Google’s privacy policy.
You can delete or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). If you block the session cookie, the contact form and booking cannot be sent.
